His dissertation is entitled: "An analysis of the design and implementation of Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES) instruments". Fernando Gordillo Vera did his PhD at the Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology at Georg-August-University Göttingen. The dissertation was developed within the framework of the research project "Landscape Forestry in the Tropics (LaForeT)" in cooperation between the Thünen Institute and the Georg-August-University Göttingen.
